Terms of Service
These are the terms on which Cortex Lab AI provides Kai Dojo. They are written to be read by the person who runs the business, not only by a lawyer.
Effective 10 September 2026.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between Cortex Lab AI, UEN 202546841R, of 12 Woodlands Square, #13-79 Woods Square Tower One, Singapore 737715 ("we", "us"), and the business that subscribes to Kai Dojo ("you", "the client").
They are not an agreement between us and the members of the public who message your WhatsApp number. Your relationship with those people is yours, and clause 4 sets out what that means in practice.
2. What the service is
Kai Dojo answers enquiries arriving on your WhatsApp number when nobody on your team is available to answer them, using information you have given us, in a tone you have set. It stops the moment a person on your team takes over, and you can switch it off entirely at any time.
It is a first-line enquiry assistant. It is not a replacement for your team, and it is not represented to anyone as a human being.
3. Beta
While Kai Dojo is in beta, three things follow, and we would rather state them than let you discover them.
- Features will change, and some will be removed.
- We do not commit to an uptime figure. If the service is unavailable, the assistant does not reply — it does not reply wrongly.
- We will tell you before we change anything that alters how the assistant replies to your contacts, rather than after. What it says in your name is your reputation, not ours.
4. What you are responsible for
- Holding a WhatsApp Business account in good standing, and complying with Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
- The accuracy of the information you give us. The assistant answers from your timetable, your prices and your FAQs — if those are wrong, its answers will be wrong in exactly the same way.
- Your own obligations under the PDPA to the people who message you, including honouring opt-outs. Our software enforces the opt-out described in the Privacy Policy, but the obligation is yours.
- Keeping your team's sign-in credentials to your team.
5. What we are responsible for
- Running the service with reasonable skill and care.
- Not using your data to train models, to build products, or as material for other clients. See the Privacy Policy for who processes what.
- Keeping each client isolated from every other one.
- Telling you before a change alters how your contacts are answered.
6. What the assistant is not
The assistant does not give medical, legal or financial advice, and it is built to decline and hand over to a person when a conversation turns that way — including anything about injuries and any price it has not been given.
That behaviour is a feature we stand behind, but it is not a guarantee about every possible message. You remain responsible for what is published in your business's name, and you should review the conversations your team is handed.
7. Fees
Fees, and any beta arrangement, are as separately agreed with you in writing. No pricing on this website forms part of these terms.
8. Suspension and termination
Either of us may end this arrangement on reasonable notice. We may suspend the service without notice if it is being used in breach of Meta's policies or in a way that puts your WhatsApp number or ours at risk of enforcement — and we will tell you why.
What happens to data on termination follows the Privacy Policy and any engagement agreement between us. Where the two differ, the engagement agreement wins.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of Kai Dojo. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.
